Benefits of Ayurvedic Fall Detox
The practice of cleansing is considered an essential part of an Ayurvedic healthy lifestyle. It’s a gentle and nourishing cleanse, working to support your body. Gentle detoxifying and rejuvenating foods, such as Kitchari, is used in the Ayurvedic cleanse so that you don’t feel deprived or depleted.
An Ayurvedic cleanse is best practiced during the transition from one season to the next season. Fall is the season of transition and perfect for a gentle detox to prepare for the upcoming winter months. With the heat of summer months, our bodies have accumulated the energy of heat - Pitta dosha. Fall is governed by the energy of Vata dosha-cool, light, mobile, dry and rough. With the combination of Pitta and Vata energies, one may feel mental and physical burnout, tax the nervous system and hinder the body’s natural detoxification abilities, throwing us off balance.
Fall is often the time when people catch colds or suffer from the symptoms from other respiratory illnesses. Our body’s detoxifying organs- liver, skin, kidneys and lungs need a boost, a little support.
An Ayurvedic cleanse purifies and rests the digestive system by improving the strength of agni-metabolic fire and digestive enzymes. You will feel a boost in your energy, stamina and immunity.
During the Ayurvedic Fall Detox, you will be guided daily to make your cleanse a success. We will meet on Saturday October 16 on Zoom from 10am -11am ET to review all that you need for your Ayurvedic Fall Detox.
