September’s new moon falls close to the fall equinox. In the northern hemisphere, the autumn equinox lands on Thursday, September 22nd, and both these events are associated with their own rituals, celebrations, and traditions. Honoring the change of the seasons and the long harvest is not a new practice. We will give thanks to the abundance of harvest season, and offer blessings in different forms during this event.
Light and dark share equal time in the sky and we can revel in the feeling of the heat leaving summer to be greeted by the cool air of autumn. We will have an interactive opportunity to create an alter together and then move through a variety of practices to honor the seasonal change. We will set intentions and offer them to the fire as a way to transform energy, while also supporting one another in community. I hope you will join.
